I wouldn't say it's game-breaking, but easily the biggest issue I have in an otherwise great game. But rolls, ground pounds, blowing-basically anything you'd do with the X/Y buttons on the 3DS version-is controlled by loosely waggling the Wiimote and nunchuk in some way, and it just doesn't feel nearly as tight or intuitive as using the buttons on the 3DS. That's all done with button controls so it's fine. Well to be absolutely clear, it's not so much the jumping that's a problem in the Wii version.
